Beginning with a keynote, the topic will explore data science from a variety of perspectives across industry and government—how data science is applicable in everyday life, how AI is being used across the world, and other data science trends.

David Norton, MBA '95, Industry Expert, Author, Operations and Marketing Executive
David Norton, MBA '95, serves as the Chairman and Chief Marketing Officer of GALE Partners, a digital and analytics-based agency / consultancy that has grown to more than 750 people in just over seven years, working with top brands across a broad range of industries, including retail, CPG, financial services, healthcare and numerous gaming clients. Previously, He was the CEO of Accent for 18 months, an $80M entity with 2k employees which is focused on customer care. MDC sold Accent to Startek at 6 times EBITDA after David transformed it in a multi-channel customer engagement agency partnering with clients such as Sprint, Bridgestone and BJ’s.David is now serving on his third Board with Summit Partners, after two very successful B exits, National Veterinary Associates to Ares and Blue Pearl Emergency Veterinary Care to Mars.
Named 2010 Chief Marketer of the Year by CMO Magazine, David brings deep expertise in turning insights and analytics into action in marketing and operations. David spent 13 years at Harrah’s & Caesars Entertainment where as CMO, he oversaw the company’s CRM, loyalty program, brand, advertising, hotel revenue management, multicultural marketing, consumer insights, VIP marketing, teleservices, all websites, entertainment and retail stores and a budget of more than $200M. He also has significant experience with PE firms, including Apollo, Bain, GI Partners, TPG, Summit Partners, CDR, and Ares.
Additionally, David released a book with McGraw Hill called The High Roller Experience that provides insights on how to use data and digital technology to transform organizations. He started his career at MBNA in Management Development before helping to form a robust loyalty function and moved to American Express where he ran the Telechannel across all business units.
