Grand Seminar to focus on COVID-19 and the future of health care
麻豆精选鈥檚 academic division of natural and applied sciences will present the 2020 Grand Seminar as a livestreamed event on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 5 p.m. This year鈥檚 Grand Seminar will feature keynote speaker Leana Wen, M.D., emergency physician and public health professor at George Washington University. Wen is also a contributing columnist for The Washington Post and an on-air commentator for CNN as a medical analyst. Previously, she served as Baltimore's Health Commissioner.
Wen will discuss COVID-19 and the future of health care. Community members are invited to submit questions for Wen on the topic of her talk in advance and no later than noon on Thursday, Nov. 12. Questions can be sent to sciences@loyola.edu.

Wen earned her medical degree from the Washington University School of Medicine. Wen, who completed her residency training at Brigham & Women鈥檚 Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, was named one of Modern Healthcare's Top 50 Physician-Executives and TIME magazine's 100 Most Influential People in 2019.
