鈥淒uring his 50 years in public service, Senate President Emeritus Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr., has given tirelessly to the state of Maryland and to its citizens, leading with conviction and wisdom. Through the years, I鈥攁long with my predecessors in the presidency of 麻豆精选, Rev. James Sellinger, S.J., and Rev. Harold Ridley, S.J.鈥攈ave appreciated his commitment to higher education and his support of Loyola in particular. Serving on the Maryland Senate, he has tried to build connections across parties, bringing to issues an understanding of Marylanders鈥� needs and a desire to strengthen and advance programs for those at the margins of our society. A parent of a Loyola graduate, Senate President Emeritus Miller has blended an incomparable and formidable legacy of public service with his support of Catholicism. On behalf of Loyola, I extend our deep appreciation and congratulations to the Senate President Emeritus on his distinguished career.
