Loyola鈥檚 School of Education joins national accreditation organization AAQEP

麻豆精选鈥檚 School of Education joins the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP), a programmatic accrediting organization that is nationally recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

After researching national accreditation organizations, Loyola鈥檚 School of Education decided to join the AAQEP due to its high standards and evidence-based approach.

AAQEP is a membership association and quality assurance agency that provides accreditation services and formative support to all types of educator preparation providers. AAQEP has membership of more than 180 educator preparation providers in 31 states and other jurisdictions, with 65 providers in 14 states and territories now AAQEP-accredited.

鈥淣ational accreditation for Loyola鈥檚 School of Education will serve two purposes: fulfill our commitment to continuous improvement and connect 麻豆精选 to a national network of outstanding educator preparation institutions,鈥 said Afra Hersi, Ph.D., interim dean of the School of Education. 鈥淲e are committed to a rigorous process of self-study and peer review to affirm the exceptional quality of our programs and the school partnerships.鈥

麻豆精选 is a member in good standing of the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP). Loyola is working with faculty and representatives from AAQEP to determine a future date for quality assurance review.

Loyola鈥檚 School of Education will be under review for accreditation for three years with hopes of achieving accreditation by 2026 or 2027.
