Loyola partners with Anne Arundel County and Charles County for teacher development and training

麻豆精选鈥檚 School of Education has partnered with Anne Arundel and Charles County public schools to offer programming for their teachers, staff, and administrators. The partnerships will help address critical shortages in several in-demand areas.
鈥淭he partnerships between Loyola鈥檚 School of Education and Anne Arundel and Charles County public schools demonstrate our commitment to meeting the urgent needs of local school system partners,鈥 said Afra Ahmed Hersi, Ph.D., dean of the School of Education. "These multi-year collaborations directly address staffing challenges while creating a sustainable framework for preparing exceptional educators and school leaders dedicated to advancing learning for all children.鈥
Loyola鈥檚 partnership with Anne Arundel County Public Schools will offer education in the following areas: Master of Arts in Teaching (Initial Teacher Certification), Special Education (Special Education Certification), Literacy Reading Specialist (Reading Specialist Certification), and Literacy Teacher: Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Populations (ESOL Certification).
Charles County Public Schools is partnering with Loyola in the above areas, as well as in Learning Design & Technology, Leadership, and Curriculum and Instruction for Social Justice.
