Retention and Graduation Rates of Fall Cohorts of First-time, Full-time (FTFT) Students

Enrollment patterns of Loyola’s fall cohorts of degree-seeking, first-time, full-time undergraduate students are tracked for 16 semesters, or eight years, to document retention rates over time, as well as four-year, six-year, and eight-year graduation rates. Semester academic performance and the cumulative academic performance of graduating students are included. These data are disaggregated by gender and by ethnicity.

Retention and Graduation Rate of Fall Transfer Cohorts

Retention of fall transfer students are tracked for the first spring and second fall semesters. Two-year through six-year graduation rates are also tracked. Semester academic performance and the cumulative academic performance of graduating students are included.

NCAA Graduation Rates Report

In compliance with the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s (NCAA) reporting standards, Â鶹¾«Ñ¡ submits Academic Success Rate (ASR) and Graduation Success Rate (GSR) data annually to the NCAA to compile the Graduation Rates Report. The following enrollment, financial aid, and graduation rate data is sent to the association:

  • The number of students who attended the institution in the prior year, by race and gender
  • The number of students who attended in the prior year and who received athletically related aid, categorized by race and gender within each sport
  • The completion or graduation rates of the certificate- or degree-seeking first-time, full-time undergraduates, categorized by race and gender for the most recently completing class
  • The completion or graduation rates of the certificate- or degree-seeking first-time, full-time undergraduates who received athletically related student aid, categorized by race and gender within sport
  • The average completion or graduation rates of the four most recently completing or graduating classes, by race and gender
  • The average completion or graduation rates of the four most recently completing or graduating classes for students who received athletically related student aid, categorized by race and gender within each sport

Six-Year Graduation Rates by Selected Federal Grant and Loan Programs

Six-year graduation rates are reported for the fall cohorts of degree-seeking, first-time, full-time undergraduate students who received the following grants or loans their first year at Loyola: (1) a Federal Pell Grant, (2) a subsidized Federal Direct Loan but not a Federal Pell Grant, and (3) neither a Federal Pell Grant nor a subsidized Federal Direct Loan. Six-year graduation rates are reported beginning with the Fall 2004 cohort.
