We'll prepare you to submit for National Board Certification. Attaining National Board Certification will allow you to step forward in in your career, expand your professional opportunities, increase your earning potential, and grow professionally as a school or district leader.

EDCT602.W01: Deep Dive Into National Board Certification  (2 Graduate Credits)

This course was developed to help teachers prepare for the rigorous process of National Board Certification. By systematically working their way through the types of writing, the content standards, the specific directions and component guide, students will collaborate, discuss, and plan their pathway to complete the National Board Certification components.

EDCT603: Pathway to Completion of Component 2: Differentiated Instruction (3 Graduate Credits)

This course was developed to help teachers navigate Component 2 of the National Board Certification portfolio. By systematically working their way through the entry directions and component guide, students will collaborate, discuss, and develop their lessons and artifacts needed to complete the entry for upload.

Benefits of the Course

This course will help students understand component 2 of the National Board Certification portfolio and develop their own portfolio entry for Component 2: Differentiated Instruction. Students will learn about how to create a set of differentiated instruction lessons to be used to evaluate student learning.

EDCT605: Pathway to Completion of Component 4: The Effective and Reflective Practitioner  (3 Graduate Credits)

This course was developed to help teachers navigate Component 4 of the National Board Certification portfolio. By systematically working their way through the entry directions and component guide, students will collaborate, discuss, and develop their lessons and artifacts needed to complete the entry for upload.

Benefits of the Course

This course will help students understand component 4 of the National Board Certification portfolio and develop their own portfolio entry for Component 4: The Effective and Reflective Practitioner. Students will develop the components needed to successfully complete the elements needed to complete the entry.

This course was developed to help teachers navigate Component 3 of the National Board Certification portfolio. By systematically working their way through the entry directions and component guide, students will collaborate, discuss, and develop their lessons and artifacts needed to complete the entry for upload.

Benefits of the Course

This course will help students understand component 3 of the National Board Certification portfolio and develop their own portfolio entry for Component 3: Demonstrating Content Knowledge in the Classroom. Students will develop the components needed to successfully complete the elements needed to complete the entry.
